Lord & Taylor: "1999 CEO CUP TWO BILLION IN SALES"

Description

Offered for your consideration is a 1999 Silvered small "loving" cup 2.5" high by 2.75" diameter. The width across the handles is 5.25". The front  has the traditional "Lord & Taylor" script logo in by what was probably a Laser etching. The back has in all capitals: "1999 CEO CUP TWO BILLION IN SALES", etched in the same manner as the front. It has never been used for anything, so the interior is in perfect condition, it is not highly silvered. The rest of the cup, which has a high silvered finish shows no damage, no dings scratches or other damage. However, this was not Tiffany class silver as there were probably a couple of hundreds or thousands made for employees, so the silver finish shows clouding here and there.
If you are a former L&T employee, or a devotee of the line, or saddened by the passing in general of the great department stores, maybe this remembrance is for you. Or, you could show it to your grand kids one day, and tell them how you use to go to a place where there were people who helped you pick out and try on things, and packed your purchase up and said thank you, have a nice day; instead of having something that ends up not fitting being thrown on your porch in the rain by a speeding truck. Both my wife and daughter worked for L&T for a number of years, so we look around the house and see many items purchased there including even a few floor decorator things, mostly on sale with an employee discount, but what the hey.
