    VERY unusual, nice and complete - rare and fine condition - a cast iron snapper turtle hood ornament with a beautiful bronze finish patina from the very earliest days of Snapper mowers.The only model in cast iron I have ever seen, these turtles were featured on the first model lawn mower Snapper Inc.produced in the 1940's . This ornament is complete and includes the original mounting plate and bolt. No apologies whatever. No hood ornament collection is complete without one!! - if you collect hood ornaments, I just bet you don't have one of these, especially in this condition.
