For your consideration is the 1917 pinback that reads "ALL TOGETHER". This phrase was popularized in the striking Navy Recruitment poster by Henry Reuterdahl published in the same year.
The 1-inch pinback features the slogan in black on an orange background, surrounded by a black border.
It was made by the GREENDUCK CO. of Chicago. The reverse bears union bugs, the patent date (2/13/1917) as well as the patent number (1215675). The button-making process was patented by J. L. Lynch, "imprint[ing] the design directly onto the metal of the button which was to be followed with a protective gloss coating -- giving the same luster of celluloid but at a much smaller cost to the manufacturer."
Very Good condition. Obverse is very lightly soiled and gently rubbed. Reverse is clean, shiny, and fully legible.
